New, updated recipe is terrible. Ugh so sad to update this review after Fillo’s changed their packaging and cooking process, apparently. The Mayacoba beans used to be amazing. I bought dozens of boxes. After the new udpate they are consistently undercooked, crunchy beans and the flavor is just not the same. Not sure if they are trying to shorten the cooking process or perhaps switched suppliers to save money. FILLO’s Nailed It! Cuban Green Sofrito Beans are FILLO’s Cuban green sofrito beans are super tasty. They have an original home cooked/restraunt taste that I really dig. They put some time and care into these beans. They are tender, packed with flavor and very easy to incorporate into all types of dishes. Super tasty! … I love red beans and rice, so when I saw these, I thought I’d broaden my horizons and try something new. I got the variety pack (6 different flavors) to sample some different flavors. So far, I’ve had 4 of the 6, and I couldn’t be happier! Super flavorful, not too salty (that was my biggest concern when I initially ordered these), and perfect over rice. Easy to prepare in the microwave, too. Will definitely order these again!
