Fakin’ bacon has been done better As others have stated, these are quite small and you have to use a lot in order to taste it. But the serving size (11 per bottle) correctly reflects that.

Weird taste I read reviews about these elsewhere and heard they were pretty good. I got them, gave them a taste and… ew. Just ew. They have this funny “I was made by a machine and then stored in bad packaging for a long time” taste to them that you just don’t find in other products like McCormick’s Bac’n Pieces. I had read that “caramel color” was bad for you, which is why I was looking for something all natural, but – wouldn’t you know it – this product contains it too. I suppose that’s…

Duffer. says:

Taste Additive These bits do contribute flavor to a tossed salad. My taste buds do not recognize it as a bacon flavor but a pleasant smoky flavor nonetheless. There is a downside to using this product although not a major one. It contains 7% salt which is more than I prefer. Also, the calorie count at 25 per tbsp is a tad higher then I would like but not a deal killer.
