One of the easiest, tastiest, most versatile, ready-to-go vegemeat products on the market FriChick is one of the most versatile vege meats on the market in my opinion. It’s not the actual texture of real chicken: it’s a bit softer, but much more meatlike than tofu. It’s a ready-to-to meat substitute, but it can be altered for any use or flavor you like. In my opinion it’s much easier for daily use than the total vegtable protein products that are bland, often dehydrated and have to be reconstituted, and have to be totally doctored up to have any flavor. It’s higher fat than many…

Good taste, texture and appearance. Worth a try. My husband and I did enjoy this chicken substitute very much. The texture is very close to real chicken, to the best that we remember after thirty years. Texture, flavor and appearance makes it worth another try. This can was not dented, for a change. Can we shoot for this in all future shipments?

Alternative protein I developed a taste for this when I was very young. Vegetarian protein was frequently alternated with animal protein meals in my home. Don’t think of it as an analog to the name in the product. Eat it more as an alternative taste. In other words, it tastes nothing like chicken, but does have a satisfying somewhat spongy texture.
