A Bean Lover’s Best Friend! If you’re not already a bean lover, there’s something for everyone with all the great recipes in this book. It’s an amazingly diverse collection covering everything from breakfast, dips, soups, salads, sandwiches, to stews, chilis, casseroles, pastas and even dessert! Beautifully photographed with an easy-to-read layout, it would be hard to not find something that you’ll love.

Comfort food I bought this as a Kindle book. I hesitated buying it for the longest time, but I’m glad I did. So far I’ve only made the Easy Veggie Bouillon which is used in multiple recipes in the book, and New Year’s Soup with Black-Eyed Peas, which was a big hit with my family and me. Its thick, slightly smokey goodness is my kind of comfort food. I have bookmarked a few other recipes to try: Get-Well-Fast Chickpea and Rice Soup, Heartier Cream of Tomato Soup, and Creamy Chickpea and Rice Casserole…

I love this book! I love this book. I use multiple recipes each week. Each recipe I have made has turned out superbly. A family favorite is the Beluga Lentil Borscht. Although the author states “There’s nothing better on a cold winter’s night than a steaming bowl of beet, potato, and cabbage soup,” she does not include cabbage in the recipe ingredients. When I make this soup, I include 3-4 cups of chopped red cabbage. The Cornbread-Topped Casserole is also terrific and flexible (I add kale to mine) and…
