The Sexual Politics of Meat: A Feminist-Vegetarian Critical Theory (Bloomsbury Revelations)
The Sexual Politics of Meat is Carol Adams’ inspiring and controversial exploration of the interplay between contemporary society’s ingrained cultural misogyny and its obsession with meat and masculinity. First published in 1990, the book has continued to change the lives of tens of thousands of readers into the second decade of the 21st century. Published
Absolutely incredible book – a must read for all women A MUST-READ for not only women, but everyone. Absolutely revolutionary book. There is much evidence for the link between animal oppression and human oppression, but many go about comparing the two in very degrading and disrespectful ways. Adams does not make this mistake whatsoever. Her arguments are consistent and undeniable. I was already a feminist and a vegan before I read this, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t learn a world of new information from picking up this book. I will be suggesting…
Thought Provoking This is an extremely thought provoking book. As a feminist and Vegetarian admittedly Iâm the right audience for it but I really feel everyone should read this book. It really makes you think about societal messages.
Five Stars Important read. I have bought for so many family members and friends and people pondering veganism
