This is a small paperback book with poor quality, old looking paper & small font, which is very difficult to easily read / reference the concise & important information being presented. Fantastic place to start for new, curious, or aspiring vegans There are many books out there on plant-based eating (I’ve read several) and many of them are very good. However, there are few, if any, that are as accessible and concise as this one. Dr. Barnard has done a fantastic job distilling the essential information one needs to know to get started on a vegan diet. Excellent summary of the fundamentals of a Whole Food Plant-Based lifestyle by an expert. Dr. Barnard is one of the primary experts in the Whole Food Plant-Based lifestyle field. I have read most of his and those of the others as well. This book efficiently summarizes the subject and is a practical approach for anyone to implement it. It is a great review for those who have read the literature and a down-to-earth practical approach for those new to the field.
