Gorgeous looking book; tasty, healthful recipes I pre-ordered this book from Amazon months ago and must say it was worth the wait! The recipes are not only delicious, but healthful, using natural plant-based ingredients. So much is covered here, from basics to more sophisticated âcomfort foodsâ that are suitable for connoisseurs and families alike. The professional quality food styling and photos make each recipe look extremely appealing. Even non-vegans will find something to enjoy preparing and eating!
Delicious Vegan Comfort Food I have tried some of Mel’s vegan recipes that are on her blog. They are filled with easy to find ingredients and are easy to follow and make. Not to mention so absolutely delicious you won’t miss meat! Her new book, Vegan Comfort Cooking is filled with homey comfort food, vegan style. The picture I included is her Rustic Skillet Potato and Greens Hash, which may be the first recipe I try. Well written with lovely, colorful pictures.
Worth the wait…. I ordered this book last September and am so happy the wait is over! Iâve already looked it over and am anxious to dive right in and start cooking. Fortunately, Melanieâs blog, A Virtual Vegan, has provided a few sneak peaks and those recipes (the Mac and Cheese, Focaccia and a couple others) are outstanding, so I know I will love the rest of the recipes in this book.
